What I Don’t Do:

  • Cover design & typography (font creation / manipulation)

  • Image-based layouts (picture books, etc.)

  • Erotica or occult non-fiction

  • Original images / graphic design

What I Do:

  • Interior formatting & typesetting

  • Clean, text-based layouts

  • Most fiction and non-fiction genres

  • Find royalty-free art for chapter headers & scene breaks

Pricing:

Print formatting (one size) = $0.0035 per word (3.5 tenths of a penny)
If you want two print formats that have the same general design but different sizes (e.g. paperback at 8.5 x 5.5 and hardback at 9 x 6), add only 25%

EBook formatting (Kindle & Generic together) = $0.0015 per word (1.5 tenths of a penny)

Bundle discount (order both print and eBook version of the same book together) = $0.004 per word (four tenths of a penny)
(adding a second print format is the same calculation as before—add 25% to the cost of the first print version)

Illustrations = $1.50 per image (regardless of format)

Pay $25 in advance when you book services—keep the rest until you are satisfied with the product.

Breaking it Down:

Example: Your manuscript is 80,000 words. You want it in two print sizes, one for paperback and a larger one for hardback.
80,000 words x $0.0035 = $280 for the first size. Add 25% to that for the second size, bringing the total to $350.

Example: Your manuscript is 80,000 words, and you want it in both print and eBook formats. There is one illustration.
80,000 words x $0.004 = $320. Add $1.50 for the illustration, bringing the total to $321.50 for one print and all eBook formats

Example: Your manuscript is 80,000 words, and you want an eBook, a paperback, and a hardback that is a different size than the paperback.
80,000 words x $0.004 = $320 for the ebook and first print size.
The cost of the print version alone would have been $280 ($0.0035 x 80,000), so add 25% of that ($70) to get the second print size, bringing the total to $390.
